Mr. Suroj Sangsnit is a veteran of Thailand’s automotive industry, with over 39 years of experience and a leading voice in the country’s transition to electric mobility. He currently serves as President of the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT), Executive Vice President of SAIC Motor-CP, and a committee member of Thailand’s National Electric Vehicle Policy Committee (NEVPC). A strategic driver of Thailand’s EV roadmap, Mr. Suroj is committed to transforming the country into a regional EV manufacturing hub, building on its strong ICE vehicle foundation. His work focuses on strengthening the entire EV value chain—promoting public-private collaboration, advancing technology transfer, supporting joint ventures, and enhancing workforce capabilities. Widely respected for his policy insight and industry expertise, Mr. Suroj continues to shape Thailand’s global positioning in the EV sector, with a special emphasis on export potential and long-term sustainability.
