Brian Cooke is the founder of Cooke Capital, where he works with venture-backed and emerging growth companies.  He has significant corporate and startup experience and until 2016 he was a Partner in PwC's strategy consulting practice. Brian possesses strong analytical skills and a keen business sense. He excels at simplifying complex commercial data, conducting thorough financial evaluations, and providing well-founded investment recommendations. With his extensive project management expertise, he has successfully overseen substantial M&A transactions in the Transportation, Oil and Gas sectors, with transaction values exceeding $10 billion. Moreover, Brian has a wealth of experience in orchestrating large multidisciplinary teams and effectively managing stakeholder relationships. He consults with a range of clients and some of his more recent projects include advising an Australian venture capital firm on their portfolio mix and assisting a major Australian property group with identifying and negotiating a major acquisition and then taking it to successful completion.  Brian is now an active angel investor and a non-executive director of Brisbane Angels. Angel investing allows Brian to combine his interests in investing with a passion for advising and mentoring young innovative startup companies.  He has a successful record of working with boards and senior executive teams to deliver meaningful strategic and operational change. His experience spans a number of industries where his practical commercial advice has helped clients cut through the complexities associated with major acquisitions and divestments.
