Ihsan has over 26 years’ executive experience across both multinationals and a startup; with a focus on originating renewables (including Utility scale / distributed Solar), energy storage (short to long duration) and gas to power opportunities across the energy and infrastructure sectors.   In addition to his Oxford/Harvard education, he has worked in M&A at UBS and in international energy business development teams both at Shell (where he spent most of his early career) and at ADNOC. He cofounded a startup focused on cleantech project development (integrated PV systems and storage, renewable fuels).   At NEOM he has been leading a few strategic and portfolio initiatives to help achieve the vision of an at scale 100 % renewables energy system.   He is British and has Arabic/Asian origins, having worked extensively across UK, Europe, Middle East and North Africa and in Far East (China).
