MANAGING DIRECTOR, PHILIP MORRIS KSA TRADING COMPANY
Christian Akiki is the Managing Director of Philip Morris KSA Trading Company, leading the company’s transformation and commercial strategy in Saudi Arabia. With nearly two decades of international leadership experience at Philip Morris International, he plays a key role in advancing PMI’s smoke-free vision and supporting the Kingdom’s broader transformation agenda under Vision 2030.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Akiki served as General Manager of Philip Morris in Algeria. Since joining PMI in 2006, he has led major commercial, consumer, and digital transformation initiatives across multiple regions. His previous roles include leadership positions in the GCC, Manager Marketing EEMA at PMI Headquarters in Switzerland, Director of Marketing in South Africa, Director of Consumer & Customer Activation in Russia, Director of IQOS Coaches, and Global Head of Lead Generation based in Switzerland.
Throughout his career, he has focused on driving responsible innovation, developing high-performing teams, and strengthening collaboration with stakeholders to accelerate the transition to scientifically substantiated smoke-free alternatives in support of improved public health outcomes.
Mr. Akiki is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University of Beirut.
