Ghinwa Baradhi is based in Dubai as the Regional Chief Information Officer in Middle East, Northern Africa (MENA) and Turkey region leading the Technology Function across 8 countries and overseeing a team of 500 people.  

In this capacity, she provides the vision and mission for her team to deliver against strategic business priorities and has end-to-end responsibility for all IT needs and systems regionally. Ghinwa is committed to driving HSBC’s Digital Agenda across MENAT and pushes the boundaries with increased focus on Service Performance, Cost Transparency and full Transformation of Banking Solutions. 

Having completed 10 years at HSBC, Ghinwa originally joined the bank in 2006 as Head of IT Operations and Quality for MENA. Since then, she has taken multiple roles within the organisation such as leading both Software Delivery and IT Operations in MENA and heading Global Banking and Markets Operational Effectiveness. 

Ghinwa is an accomplished senior executive with over 23 years of experience in Financial Banking Technology and Operations. Her dynamic career has spanned multiple financial institutions, such as Emirates NBD bank, in both global and regional roles. She has worked in areas of Business Intelligence, CRM, Data Warehouse and Wholesale Trade where she has consistently delivered strategic and innovative solutions with bottom-line results. 

Finally, Ghinwa is a Sponsor for FINTECH Hive in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) on behalf of HSBC. She delivers IT’s commitment to stay on the forefront of change and provides her respected expertise and thought leadership on variety of issues related to digital and innovation. 

Ghinwa holds an MBA from Bradford University and an MSC in Computer Science from Lebanese American University.
