Shereen Nassar is the global Director of Logistics Studies at Heriot-Watt University. She is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) UAE and the chair of the Next Generation Committee. Shereen developed a strategic partnership with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) in the MENA region that benefits students and the professional procurement community.  Shereen is an active academic with solid teaching experience across the UK and MENA region. She developed strong ties with industry mainly in the field of logistics and supply chain management. She obtained her doctorate in advanced tracking technology for supply chain visibility and sustainable competitive advantage in 2012 from Bath University, UK.  Shereen regularly contributes to the logistics and supply chain field through her articles and insights in key industry forums and magazines. Her inspirational and outstanding contribution to the field and industry-academia dialogue and interaction was highly recognised by both industry and academia. Shereen received the Outstanding Academician in Logistics Award from the Institute of Supply Chain Management. The award acknowledged Shereen's contribution to innovative, engaging, and inspiring teaching methods, leading industry-campus connect, and sustained excellence in logistics research. Her work was also recognised by Heriot-Watt University, and she received the Excellence in External Engagement Award in 2023.
