Phiwa Nkambule is a South African technology entrepreneur with 6 years’ experience in tech entrepreneurship, innovation management, software development and financial regulation. He has a proven track record in the global technology ecosystem having worked with various startups around the world and with his work documented in research in the world’s leading research firms like Deloitte, KPMG and Accenture and also covered by publications like Forbes and the Africa Report amongst others, television stations like CNBC and SABC and radio rations like Talk 702 and Power FM. He has also been invited to speak at different South African and international conferences and seminars on digital technologies and innovation.
His career began in 2013 whilst I was a second year BCom Law student at the University of Pretoria during which he learnt software development for the purpose of developing technology solutions to human problems. He eventually went into full time technology entrepreneurship in 2014 launching his first startup Cybatar from his garage. He later founded hi-tech driven financial technology startup Riovic which he leads as CEO.
He continues to work in the technology space, focusing his attention on the fourth industrial revolution.
