Efi Dahan is the General Manger for PayPal Middle East and Africa. He joined the company in 2012 where he has been the General Manager for Israel and sub-Saharan Africa for 5 years. Efi is responsible for PayPal’s operation in over 60 markets, with a large reservoir of untapped online buyers (around 170 million buyers). He is also a member of PayPal’s management team for CEMEA (Continental Middle East and Africa).
Efi’s passion for the customer – consumers and merchants – has led to host of customer-driven product launches. These include expanding PayPal services in Nigeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Zimbabwe, back in 2014. He also established partnerships with 5 of the leading banks in Africa, including FNB in South Africa, Equity Bank in Kenya, and First Bank in Nigeria. Efi focuses on forming unique collaborations with startups while harnessing new technologies and innovation to PayPal.
Prior to joining PayPal Efi co-founded and led one of Israel’s largest marketplaces. Served as VP Business Development at Aniboom, a VC backed innovative startup and the first global virtual studio for animation. As Comverse General Manager of Content division, where he led the company’s content strategy, business activity and services to tier 1 mobile operator worldwide.
Efi has a BA in finance and economics as well as LL.B from IDC Herzliya, the first private institution of higher education in Israel.
