Susanne Weissbaecker, Global Head Of Access To Medicines, Takeda

As a medical physician with a degree in business, Susanne has been working for over 15 years in the healthcare and the pharmaceutical industries in various roles.

In April 2018, Susanne took on the role as Global Head of Access to Medicines at Takeda and is leading Takeda’s strategy to enhance access to medicines for patients across the globe. Prior to this role, Susanne was Head of Patient Access and Services for Takeda’s Europe and Canada business and successfully developed, and implemented, patient engagement programmes for Entyvio (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and Ninlaro (Multiple Myeloma, Oncology).

Prior to joining Takeda, she engaged cross-sectorial partners from the public, civil society and private sector to move the health agenda in Non-Communicable Diseases and Value-based Healthcare, leading the Healthcare Community at the World Economic Forum.

Susanne has broad knowledge and experience in the areas of access to medicines and patient programs gained during more than 10 years working as a consultant in Emerging Markets including South East Asia, the Middle East and North Africa has
Susanne has lived and worked in Western Europe, the US and the Middle East, and is currently based in Singapore.
