Tej Walia FIH MI is the Managing Director of The Foxhills Collection, overseeing more than 300 staff across Foxhills Club & Resort, an award-winning country club and hotel, and Farleigh Golf Club, both in Surrey.

With a hospitality career that spans more than 30 years across India and the UK, Walia is a respected member of the Institute of Hospitality and is a St Julian’s Scholar and Master Innholder, named on Boutique Hotelier’s Power List in 2023 and 2025 for his contributions to the industry.

His early years saw stints at Oberoi hotels, Kempinski, Grand Hyatt and The Leela Palaces & Resorts, before spending eight years at Hilton developing his management acumen. He then held various leadership roles at Fawsley Hall Hotel, Dartington Hall, MGM Muthu Hotels and Macdonald’s Crutherland and Houstoun hotels in Scotland before joining Foxhills in 2018.

Since his arrival, Walia has led significant growth in the business with the build and launch of a new £7m family building, The Pavilion, as part of a £25m investment project spearheaded by Walia which includes renovation and improvement work in the restaurants, bedrooms and golf courses. Now with record membership and revenue, Foxhills continues to go from strength to strength under his guidance.
