Alex Matulina, ESG Manager, PPHE Group

Alex Matulina is the ESG Manager for PPHE Hotel Group, where he leads the company’s sustainability strategy across its European hospitality and real estate portfolio. His expertise lies in ESG reporting, decarbonisation, and more broadly sustainability practices in the hospitality sector. Since joining PPHE in 2023, Alex has driven initiatives such as setting ESG targets, developing a decarbonisation plan, leading the company’s SBTi targets submission, and supporting on hotel sustainability certifications. He previously worked as an advisor for real estate clients on their ESG strategies, as well as for the UK Government and European Commission on policies related to climate change, circular economy, biodiversity, and agriculture. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Economics and Policies.
