Wodonga Middle Years College (WMYC) realised their potential to become an educational technology leader. The school has embarked on a journey of consistent innovation, adopting the latest tools and technologies to give their students every opportunity for continuous learning.
WMYC are enabling students to extend and enrich their learning throughout their day. Students are embracing the Brightspace LMS by engaging in ubiquitous learning - whether that’s on the bus, in the classroom, on the sports field or at home. The ability to learn on any device, at any time, has allowed students to engage with their school work using the technology they love. For teachers, Brightspace provides the capability to give work to students before they come to class, creating more interaction when students are in the classroom. Teachers can also manage content, assignments and assessments far more efficiently through Brightspace. The results speak for themselves with the school achieving marked improvements across key learning areas.
This webinar will describe the teaching and learning experience WMYC had in place prior to COVID-19, how the school coped with online learning during the school lockdown period, and the plans WMYC has for their educational technology experience as we come through the other side of the pandemic.

Learning Outcomes
Attendees will hear how WMYC transformed their teaching and learning experience through innovative use of the Brightspace LMS and how the school has benefited from this transformation in order to cope very well with a rapid move to fully online learning as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded. This has equipped the school to genuinely reflect the same experience online as they have done in the classroom or better yet, allow for a seamless experience between the two and build resiliency for the future.
