Alan Benson is a disability campaigner and activist with a particular interest in transport. As well as being Chair of Transport for All, he is a Trustee of RUILS in Richmond, Deputy Chair of London TravelWatch and Co-Chair of the DfT Inclusive Transport Stakeholder Group. In 2019 he was named in the Disability Powerlist, the list of the 100 most influential Disabled People in the UK. He is a regular tweeter and occasionally blogs about his journeys when time allows.
Before turning to campaigning Alan was an I.T. Manager at various colleges and universities across the country for over twenty years. He holds two degrees in Economics because one just didn’t seem enough. He lives in West London without any cats or dogs.
