Streetscope has developed a new kinematic measure to objectively evaluate how safely vehicles move in traffic. This measure treats the vehicle as a black box and thus can be used for human and machine-driven vehicles. We use simple forward-facing cameras synced to GPS to obtain all necessary data. We intentionally built it around a low-cost data capture process (video), though we can easily use higher fidelity data from lidar or radar. With this data, we can assess vehicle movement and provide valuable reports to insurance, infrastructure consultants, vehicle developers and fleets. Global partners include FEV, MS&AD and Munich Re.
