Samuel A. García Sepúlveda Constitutional Governor of the State of Nuevo León Samuel García was born in Monterrey. He studied Law and Finance, then a master's degree in Public Law, both at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). He studied a doctorate in Public Policy and Public Administration at the Graduate School in Public Administration and Public Policy (EGAP) of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, a second doctorate in Fiscal Law at ITAC University, and a third doctorate in Constitutional Law and Governance at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL). He is the founder of three law firms. He was a local Deputy in Nuevo Leon for District 18 from 2015 to 2018, and a Senator for Nuevo Leon from 2018 to 2020. Since October 4, 2021 he is the Constitutional Governor of Nuevo Leon, being one of the youngest governors in the country. Within the National Conference of Governors (CONAGO), he is Coordinator of the Commissions for International Affairs, Science and Technology, and Regional and Metropolitan Development; and Vice Coordinator of the Commissions of the Northern Zone, Infrastructure, Finance, Economic Development, and USMCA (Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada). In addition, he is the author of three books, has been a speaker and writer in various media, as well as a professor in Master of Tax Law at UANL.
