Sam is an innovative, resourceful, passionate, and service-oriented executive and thought leader with demonstrated success in the public sector and local government, focused on addressing complex mobility challenges. He has over 20 years of experience in transportation technologies, planning, and implementation, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), autonomous vehicles, program development, project management, capital improvements, and sustainability programs. Sam holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is a licensed professional engineer in California and Hawaii. He lives in Pasadena with his wife Ellie and two children.
