Lee Friedman, Infrastructure Policy Manager, City of San Diego

Lee Friedman currently serves as Public Policy Manager for San Diego City Mayor Kevin Faulconer. As a mobility champion, Lee is focused on improving the quality and safety of San Diego’s multi-modal transportation network. Lee was instrumental in bringing the Vision Zero program to the City of San Diego, helped launch the first phase of San Diego’s visionary Downtown Mobility Plan, which will install over nine miles of protected bike lanes through San Diego’s urban core, and co-authored Rebuild San Diego – a voter passed initiative which has dedicated over $50 million dollars for Infrastructure priorities since 2016.

Lee holds a bachelor’s degree in European Studies/Political Theory from the University of California, Irvine and lives in San Diego with his wife, Dr. Jocelin Friedman and daughter, Claire
