Jamie Gull | CEO
Talyn Air

Jamie Gull, CEO, Talyn Air

Jamie is the co-founder and CEO of Talyn Air founded with Evan Mucasey in 2019. Jamie graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. After Stanford, he joined Scaled Composites as a design engineer where he worked on the largest aircraft in the world, Stratolauncher. He was also one of 5 engineers on a 5000 lbm optionally manned aircraft called Firedbird that was designed, built, and flown in 9 months. Jamie then moved to SpaceX where he was the Responsible Engineer on the aft thermal shield on the Falcon 9 rocket. The aft thermal shield enabled the first hypersonic reentry and landing of an orbital rocket and reuse of the first stage. After SpaceX he was a co-founder and Principal Engineer at Tendeg LLC, designing and building deployable space antennas for commercial customers. Talyn is reinventing electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) flight by making the first two vehicle system that separates out the VTOL and long range cruise aircraft to get 3X the range of any other design.
