Eugene Moore joined Applegreen in 2011, with over 30 years’ experience at leadership and board level in a diverse range of sectors.  In 2022, Eugene became CEO of Applegreen Electric, a wholly owned subsidiary of Applegreen which provides Electric Vehicle charging services for Applegreen’s customers in Ireland, the UK, and the United States.  Eugene is primarily responsible for leading the group’s development of sustainable electric vehicle charging infrastructure required to transition from fossil to sustainable. Applegreen Electric is an ultra-fast charge point operator with a proven track record in the design and operation of over 750 fast charging bays. Applegreen Electric was established in 2021 as a subsidiary of Applegreen Limited, one of the largest Plaza operators in Europe and the US, to focus exclusively on EV charging infrastructure. Today, Applegreen Electric works with a range of partners to design, develop, host, and operate universal access EV charging bays, providing 1,000,000+ fast charging sessions to its customers annually, supporting the rapid transition to sustainable transportation and a low-carbon future. Eugene has a BSc. Honours Degree in Surveying from Trinity College Dublin and a Higher Diploma in Construction Economics from DIT Bolton St.
