Andy is the founder and serves as the President and CEO of Momentum Dynamics, the global leader in fast, efficient high-power wireless charging for electric vehicles. Mr. Daga holds degrees in structural and civil engineering, architecture and space science and technology.
Andy’s primary responsibilities include formulating the company’s business strategy, working with the Board of Directors and implementing strategy through the coordination of technology development, market analysis and partnership building. He is also responsible for promoting the company as a recognized thought leader through his presentations in public media and at key industry conferences where he speaks on a regular basis.
Prior to founding Momentum Dynamics, Andy was a leading consultant to the aerospace industry and contributed to the design of the International Space Station solar power array system, the Mars Pathfinder program, and future mission planning studies with NASA and the US Department of Defense.
From 1987 to 2009, Andy was an independent consultant to NASA and major aerospace companies where he worked on advanced mission planning studies and also on specific space programs. His work resulted in the publication of numerous papers that have been incorporated into planning documents by NASA, including its Planetary Science Decadal Survey. He is regarded as an expert on the subject of manned lunar and Martian mission planning. Andy’s work with Lockheed (now Lockheed Martin) in the early 1990s proved the feasibility of using astronaut EVA operations to deploy and retrieve the solar array system on the International Space Station, and on other studies which identified wireless power systems as a means of dramatically reducing weight on large scale space-based power systems.
Through this varied experience over 25 years, Andy has developed a strong capacity to identify engineering talent and manage multidisciplinary engineering and business teams. Andy is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) where he serves on a number of standards committees.
