Andrea Learned is a global climate action influencer with a 25-year career in strategic communications and influencer relations. She has leveraged her voice around biking as transportation since late 2015, when she first launched the #bikes4climate tag just after the Paris climate talks. Andrea has written about “bikes as climate action” for GreenBiz, and has also been interviewed on the topic for podcasts and publications like FastCompany and Treehugger.com. As an independent consultant in the broader climate and sustainability space, she’s worked with a range of private and public sector clients, including: 50by40.org, the We Mean Business Coalition, Iron Mountain, Ceres, C2ES, and the International Boreal Conservation Coalition.
In her early career, Andrea was recognized for her marketing to women leadership and for her book on the subject, Don’t Think Pink. Over the course of her career, she has written for publications that include The Guardian and The Huffington Post, and is a globally recognized voice on using Twitter to build social capital with social impact.
Andrea also provides pro bono expertise to amplify the music and message of global community radio station, KEXP.org. Whenever she’s not working, Andrea is riding her “acoustic” bike or eBike, or, walking her two dogs in the beautiful city of Seattle.
