Purbaja Pantja is President Director of Ilectra Motor Group (IMG) — a joint venture between Indika Energy with the Indonesia-focused venture capital firm Alpha JWC and Horizons Ventures. 

IMG specializes in developing electric two-wheel vehicles under the brand name ALVA. 

Purbaja Pantja also serves as Director and Group Chief Investment Officer of PT Indika Energy Tbk.

Prior to Indika Energy, Pantja held several leadership roles in a number of private equity and investment banking institutions in Singapore and Indonesia. 

Purbaja started his professional career in the banking industry. He earned his BSc (cum laude) in Statistics and Economics (double major) from the University of California, Davis (California, USA) in 1991 and MBA in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, USA) in 1993.
