Piya Kerdlap is a sustainability scientist and international development professional. He has 10 years of experience in life cycle assessment, circular economy, and clean energy in Southeast Asia. He is the founder and managing director of PXP Sustainability, a consultancy that conducts research and analysis to assist businesses, non-profit organizations, and development finance institutions in Asia measure sustainability and build strategies to make improvements. Piya has published studies covering life cycle assessment and financial analysis of linear and circular products and services in top-tier peer-reviewed scientific journals. Prior to PXP Sustainability, Piya managed Nexant's portfolio of clean energy and international development work programs in Southeast Asia that covered solar mini-grids, rural electrification, smart grids, regulatory reform of electricity and water sectors, and the Asia Clean Energy Forum. Piya is an alumnus of the Fulbright U.S. Student program. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the National University of Singapore.
