Sustainable Mobility in Metropolitan Regions in ASEAN (An ASEAN-German Cooperation Project) - SMMR

Pichai Uamturapojn is a national expert for the GIZ/SMMR Project in Thailand. He works with local stakeholders to strengthen the sustainable mobility design in the cross-border Nong Khai – Vientiane Metropolitan Region. Pichai is also a co-founder and CEO of the Social Innovation Hub in the Mekong Region. He previously worked as a Programme Director for the Thailand Environment Institute and Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development. After his PhD in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Planning from the University of the Ryukyus, he worked as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow in Tokyo, and a Fellow at the East-West Center in Hawai'i.
