Riad is the founder and CEO of Progesys, responsible for providing leadership and managing the growth of the company. He has over 25 years of experience in project management and executive leadership. He assumed key roles with industry leaders in mining and metals, and Oil and Gas industries, including Rio Tinto and Valero, and leading Canadian engineering firms, before he founded Progesys in 2003. He has since been responsible for Progesys growth and expansion in the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The company has now offices in Canada, USA, Brazil, UAE, Oman, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and has delivered projects in more than 30 countries. Riad received the prestigious Performance Award for entrepreneurship from ESG University of Quebec at Montreal, in 2016. He founded an engineering firm in Quebec City and exited the company after four years of impressive growth. He continues to play key roles in the development of several Startup companies. Riad is a registered professional engineer in Quebec, Canada. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering from École Polytechnique in Montréal, and a Master of Project Management degree from the University of Quebec in Montreal. He completed an advanced strategy and leadership program at the University of Southern Indiana. In 2021, Riad achieved Harvard Business School alumni status, for completing the Owner President Management program, and in 2022 the Institute of Corporate Directors, ICDRotman Directors education program.
