Mian Shehzad Rafi is a seasoned executive with over two decades of international experience in the natural resources sector, spanning oil, gas, and mineral exploration. He began his career with Schlumberger, taking on technical, training, and regional leadership roles across the MENA region. Transitioning to the public sector in Punjab, Pakistan, he successfully revitalized the Punjab Mineral Development Corporation and spearheaded the province’s first NI 43-101-compliant mineral exploration program. He later served as Vice President of Natural Resources at ARGAS/TAQA (Industrialization & Energy Services Company), a Saudi PIF-backed entity, where he established a dedicated Natural Resources & Mining division, collaborating with leading organizations including Ma’aden, SGR, and NEOM. Currently, he serves as Director of Strategy at HTMA, driving greenfield exploration initiatives for metallic and critical minerals in Balochistan, Pakistan.
