Ing Dominic Oduro Fordjour  Dominic Oduro Fordjour is an accomplished Geotechnical and Hydrological Engineer with extensive experience in the mining industry for both underground and surface Mine. Currently serving as the Superintendent Geotechnical Data Engineer at AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine, Dominic specializes in slope design, slope monitoring, slope management, hydrogeology, and data analysis. With a strong commitment to achieving high-quality standards and delivering impactful results, he has consistently contributed to optimizing mining operations and ensuring safety and sustainability. Dominic has a proven track record of implementing innovative solutions and leading complex projects. At AngloGold Ashanti, he has been instrumental in developing advanced geotechnical models, repurposing abandoned tailing storage facilities to generate significant profit, and managing ground support trials to ensure safety and operational efficiency. His leadership in hydrological engineering and mine water management has contributed to the longevity and sustainability of mining operations. In his previous roles at AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine, Dominic successfully redesigned slope geometries to reduce costs, led cost-reduction initiatives in drilling and blasting, and developed comprehensive geotechnical block models to enhance design communication. His experience extends to international assignments, where he collaborated with management on operational plans and ensured compliance with safety standards at Endeavor Gold Mine in Mali. Dominic holds an MSc in Geological and geotechnical Engineering and a BSc in Geological Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) in Tarkwa, Ghana. He is also certified in various mining-related disciplines, including safety management, first aid, and general drilling. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Ghana Institution of Engineering, and the Ghana Institution of Geoscientists. With strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a dedication to continuous improvement, Dominic Oduro Fordjour is committed to advancing the field of geotechnical engineering and contributing to the success of mining projects worldwide.
