The Ministry's goal is to transform Nigeria's mineral and metal sector into an attractive mining destination for Foreign Direct Investment in order to develop the sector. It also oversees the formulation of laws and policies, generation of revenue through trade of solid minerals, issuance of Permits, Licenses, Leases and Collection of rents, Fees and Royalties.
