Lori Liu is a visionary leader in digital transformation with a decade of impactful experience in aerospace manufacturing and Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) R&D. Currently the Digital & Automation Director in Home Care R&D at Unilever, Lori has been leading the global R&D digital strategy since September 2021, enabling faster innovation. She manages a diverse team of 31, pioneering digital capabilities, including integrating collaborative robots and IoT. Her collaboration with the University of Liverpool's Material Innovation Factory aims to generate €55 million value annually for Home Care. Previously, Lori worked at Rolls-Royce, where she significantly increased production efficiency and reduced operational costs as a manufacturing engineer and later as the Digital Manufacturing and Automation Team Lead. Her efforts led to a 30% improvement in data-driven decision-making. Lori holds an MSc in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the University of Bristol and is a Chartered Engineer, known for her strategic mindset and ability to deliver tangible outcomes through robust change management.
