Andy Stanford-Clark, Distinguished Engineer, IBM

Prof Andy Stanford-Clark is an innovation leader in IBM Research, and was IBM's technical leader for the Mayflower Autonomous Ship project. He is an IBM Distinguished Engineer, a Master Inventor with more than 40 patents, and leads IBM’s Quantum Ambassador team in the UK. Andy is based at IBM’s Hursley Park laboratories near Winchester, and has been working in the area we now call the Internet of Things for more than 25 years. He has a BSc in Computing and Mathematics, and a PhD in Computer Science. He is an Honorary Professor at the University of East Anglia, a Visiting Professor at the University of Newcastle, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southampton, and a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
