Petri Viljanen, Member, Edocuments Workgroup, Secure Identity Alliance

Petri Viljanen is a Member of the eDocuments Workgroup of the Secure Identity Alliance, the organization dedicated to supporting the provision of legal, trusted identity for all, and to drive the development of inclusive digital services necessary for sustainable, worldwide economic growth and prosperity.
As part of this group, he manages the development of the Security Design Feature Certification Scheme and in particular the eSEC self-assessment tool, a free tool that can be used to self-certify the effectiveness of a secure document’s design.
Petri Viljanen is Senior Product Manager at Gemalto, based in Finland.
Petri Viljanen has over 20 years of working experience with secure e-documents from various positions in development, management and marketing. His past responsibilities include also several standardization and patenting activities. Lately he has been concentrating more on the physical security features, but retains a strong background on software and cryptography.
