Martin Drahansky, Professor - researcher, European Association for Biometrics

Martin Drahanský has devoted his research life so far mainly to biometric systems involving sensors, embedded solution design, image and video processing with machine learning support. He obtained the MSc. degree in 2001 from two universities - Brno University of Technology (Faculty of Electrotechnics and Computer Science; Czech Republic) and FernUniversität in Hagen (Faculty of Electrotechnics; Germany). In 2005 he received the Ph.D. degree from Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Information Technology. In 2009 he finished the associate professor defense and finally in 2017 he has got a full professor degree. Until 2023 he worked as a professor at the Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Information Technology. Afterwards he works at the Department of Cybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava (Czech Republic) and partially at the Department of Anthropology, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University (Czech Republic). He is involved in industrial sphere as well - in the companies Touchless Biometric Systems s.r.o. and TrendBit s.r.o.
