Martin, head of Web Standards at Huawei European Research Institute, has been involved in consumer and interoperability standards for over two decades, participating in different standardization roles. Until 2021, Martin was Manager of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Spanish Chapter, leading activities related to Semantic Web and developing technical standards for data interoperability, accessibility, and web applications. Martin has supported local, regional, and national governments, including the European Commission, in the definition and implementation of various regulations (e.g., Accessibility, INSPIRE, Open Data Directives, and Interoperable Europe Act). Martin, now part of the standardization team at Huawei, continues to contribute to Web-related standards at W3C and similar organizations, actively participating in various working groups and introducing new use cases within the EUDI wallet ecosystem.
