Erik Van Dijk, Chairman, Edocument Workgroup, Secure Identity Alliance

Erik Van Dijk is the Chairman of the Secure Identity Alliance’s eDocuments Workgroup, the organization dedicated to supporting the provision of legal, trusted identity for all, and to drive the development of inclusive digital services necessary for sustainable, worldwide economic growth and prosperity.
In this role he drives the program of work of the eDocuments workgroup of SIA, aimed at helping governments with the development of secure and durable documents. In particular, he manages the development of the Security Awareness Model and the eSAM self-assessment tool, a free tool that can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of a secure document’s design.
Erik has worked for IDEMIA since 2005 in the field of optical document security. First as Six Sigma Black Belt to improve personalization, then as Product Manager to drive the roadmap for security features.

As fraudsters get more high-tech the physical document community needs to consistently be on top of the ever-increasing arms race. In this session we explore what security features are currently being considered for secure documents and how, or if, credentials can be ‘futureproof’.
