A smarter architecture: adapting to future identity trends

In the beginning, long before data, there was identification and entitlement. These required verification, so secure documents came along to support this. Throughout the journey the world of ID has always shadowed that of industry generally – what is technically possible, and how can it be used? Like Industry v4.0, Identity is now poised to enter its own new era; we might call it IDv4.0.Like the bigger Industry debate the focus is expanding from what technologies we work with, to include how we want to work with technology. The ID World cannot close its eyes and ears to this debate and expect to survive the next generation. An architecture level response is one of the best ways to address and adapt to change in the face of such wider forces. This presentation discusses the requirements and pressures on Identity architectures to support management of identity at a time of multiple IDs, privacy concern, and better business value from shared service structures, including the citizen’s (e.g. the customer’s) own devices. It will share some of HID Global’s views on how an international business evolves to meet these challenges.
