Katherine is Cabinet Member for Climate, Environment and Transport at the London Borough of Hounslow. She was first elected in 2014 and has held various policy portfolios including Housing, Communities, and Public Health. In 2019 she initiated Hounslow's declaration of a climate emergency, leading to the development of the borough's Climate Emergency Action Plan and Pathway to Net Zero policies. She served as Deputy Leader of the Council from 2022 to 2024 and sits on the executive of London Councils' Transport and Environment Committee, the London Fuel Poverty Partnership and is a substitute member of the LGA Local Infrastructure and Net Zero Board.
