Dr Isabella Panovic is the Programme Manager at Innovate UK, facilitating the delivery of the £200m Zero Emission HGV & Infrastructure Demonstrator programme funded by the Department for Transport and delivered in partnership with Innovate UK. The programme aims to increase HGV operator confidence and government understanding of various zero emission HGV technologies and their infrastructure. Prior to joining the Land & Maritime Transport team at Innovate UK, Isabella has worked in R&D policy for a number of years within the UKRI research councils to support development of other net zero technologies, such as offshore renewables and decarbonising heating and cooling. Isabella has also completed a PhD at the University of St Andrews, focussing on biorefineries and the chemistry of biomass.
