Rishabh Jain is a public policy practitioner and currently works at Council on Energy Environment & Water. CEEW is one of South Asia’s leading not-for-profit policy research institutions. The Council uses data, integrated analysis, and strategic outreach to explain – and change – the use, reuse, and misuse of resources. At CEEW, he works at the Centre for Energy Finance which has been set up to act as a non-partisan market observer and driver, to monitor, develop, test, and deploy financial solutions to advance the energy transition. It aims to help deepen markets, increase transparency, and attract capital in clean energy sectors in emerging economies, while also bridging gaps between governments, industry, and financiers.
Over the years, he has worked closely with government officials, multilateral organisations, manufactures, think tanks and startups. He has provided recommendations to design new policies or amend existing ones in the energy sector. In earlier roles, Rishabh has worked with organisations like Vikram Solar, CLEAN and Energo Labs. As a “Li Ka Shing Scholar”, Rishabh has completed his Master in Public Policy from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore and Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
