Solid State Power (Pty) Ltd was registered in May 2008 as a joint venture company between its founders and Voltex (Pty) Ltd, to become a member of the Bid Industrial Division within the Bidvest Group.

Within a relatively short time span the company has developed locally a range of innovative products and become a leading supplier to the private and public sectors in the fields of energy saving and alternative energy.

The wide range of products fall under different categories, such as solar geysers, digital temperature controllers for geysers and air condition units, solar lighting units, smart house wireless controllers and uninterruptible power systems (UPS).
