Tony Matthews, Senior Lecturer in Urban and Environmental Planning, Griffith University

Dr Tony Matthews is a Senior Lecturer in Urban and Environmental Planning at Griffith University, Australia. His research interests include: the interplay between urban design, health and environmental outcomes; adapting cities to climate change; the role and function of green infrastructure in built environments. Dr Matthews is author of numerous international journal papers, research monographs and book chapters. He is an active public writer and commentator, regularly featuring in national and international media. Dr Matthews co-developed and co-presented ‘The Urban Squeeze’ on ABC Radio, which ran for two seasons and won three awards for excellence from the Planning Institute of Australia.
