A year on from the publication of the 2022 Tes Wellbeing Report - our annual survey of the current highs, lows and everything in-between for Australian schools - this session will explore the ongoing and new challenges and implications for schools, teachers and leadership. Discussing the insights and reflections discovered in the latest Tes Wellbeing Report 2023, it will consider reasons for why some responses (both positive and negative) have changed in the past twelve months, what strategies are being employed to respond to these and, most importantly, consider the question of where to now for teachers amid the ongoing shortage and increasing demands for a lift in standards. What developments are apparent in mentoring for teachers and leaders? Have perceived learning gaps for many students realised any significant need for IEPs? How are schools adjusting their plans for the next 12 months and beyond?
