VR to connect students globally and develop greater empathy

VR is a powerful tool to broaden and deepen learning opportunities. We will share practical examples of how teachers across all subjects can use VR technology to connect students globally and to deepen their learning. One example is using an iGloo to connect students with schools across the world to look at the impact of volcanoes, such as Goma, Hawaii and our Knox year 8 students. Students in English using VR to experience Shakespeare’s world and creating set designs for Midsummer Night’s Dream. Science students take a deep virtual dive in a cell!
