Joel is currently working as a PDHPE Curriculum Support Officer with the Department of Education. In this role he has continued to develop and refine the work he was doing in a school setting in embedding assessment centred classrooms. He has developed and delivered professional learning embedding the Department of Education's Physical Literacy Continuum into self and peer assessment, as well as teacher observation, in order to track student progress. He has highlighted the use of technology to record evidence of learning, track growth and empower self and peer assessment in Physical Education

This session will highlight how technology can be used as a formative assessment tool in Physical Education. It will highlight how different apps and platforms can be used as assessment tools to empower self and peer assessment, track growth and collect evidence of learning in order to inform future teaching and learning.By the end of the session, participants will:Highlight how technology can be used to assist with self and peer assessment.Implement technology to assist with collecting evidence of learning.Explore methods of tracking growth in Physical Education and other practical settings.WHY ATTEND?
