Jade Carr, Head of Indigenous Education and Stage 6 Aboriginal Studies Teacher, International Grammar School

Jade has volunteered for, and been a member of the Aboriginal Studies Association Executive for the last four years and am the Head of Indigenous Education and Stage 6 Aboriginal Studies teacher at International Grammar School, Sydney.  She oversees the academic and social well-being of 23 Indigenous students throughout the school and work closely with the leadership team and all faculties to ensure that the curriculum and pedagogical approaches at our school are reflective of and inclusive of genuine Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, languages and cultures through immersion within the local community and its resources and organisations. Jade has a Bachelor of Education with Honours, a Diploma in Aboriginal Education, and a Masters of Leadership in Aboriginal Education from the University of Sydney.
