How do you support a workforce of 80,000 teachers to pivot their teaching and learning overnight? The new MSTeams Statewide staffrooms was a response to the emerging needs of our teachers in a year of mass disruption. By utilising the features of this platform the Curriculum team was able to connect and support teachers in a collaborative and collegial space. Over 33,000 participants now exploreand share resources, access specialist advice and receive information with immediacy and flexibility. The platform represents innovative ways to build networks and support teachers, especially in times of need. Teams spaces are adaptive and carefully curated to provide a nuanced response to teachers and their diverse curriculum needs. The teams overcome the tyranny of distance welcoming teachers from all over the state to professional conversations. With connectivity also comes support, nurturing the wellbeing of our workforce. Statewide staffrooms aim to connect teachers with like-minded professionals to share best practice in a positive and safe environment.
