Duncan Ferguson, Head of Music, St Andrew's College (Christchurch)

Duncan is the Managing Director of Learning Ideas Ltd, a company he setup in 2003 to support NZ teachers with teaching and assessment resources in music technology/recording, ear training and music theory. His online Mixing Techniques for Teachers courses have had many Australian and NZ teachers learn more about how to assist students with music production of original compositions. He is also the Head of Music at St Andrew’s College in Christchurch, NZ and is a national assessment moderator for the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. In 2019 he won the ’Tui’ award for Music Teacher of the Year at the Aotearoa Music Awards.
