Bruce Fuda is the Chief Education Officer at KIK Innovation, a charity driven by a single purpose, to remove barriers to education for youth, the disadvantaged and all. Prior to joining KIK Innovation he was the Chief Education Officer at Grok Academy, a not-for-profit that over its lifetime engaged more than one million students in Digital Technologies education across Australia, New Zealand and internationally. In its new home at KIK Innovation, Bruce is committed to seeing the platform evolve to provide even richer learning experiences for all students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Prior to taking on leadership roles in the not-for-profit sector, Bruce held leadership postions in the government schools sector in the ACT, and held lecturing and learning design roles in the university sector. He has over 20 years experience working in education and teacher training, teaching from Year 6 through 12 and working with both pre- and in-service teachers. Bruce was a member of the advisory group and writing teams for the Australian Curriculum: Technologies and DIgital Literacy, was the 2016 ACCE/ACS Australian ICT Educator of the Year, and was awarded an ISTE Making IT Happen award in 2017. He is the founding President of Information Technology Educators ACT. Bruce resides in Canberra, on the lands of the Ngunnawal people.
