Sonia is currently working as a Principal and English teacher (at the higher secondary level) at Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School, Kolkata. She is also the Regional Executive Member of Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC) for West Bengal and North East States of India. She presented a paper on Education Leadership at the National ASISC conference in 2018. Additionally, she is the Convener of the Indian School Certificate, Examination of the Barrackpore Zone. She also has the experience of a Centre Superintendent for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) exam.    Her article on ‘Economic Independence & Empowerment’ was published in the Indian Principals’ Network (IPN) December 2021 issue. Her article on ‘Corona and Childhood’ was yet another article that was published in Mentor LXL, a leading and popular magazine in India on Education.   She has been a panelist at many webinars and conferences that have discussed the following: NEP 2020, New Age Career Choices, Mental Health, and Technology. She also conducts Podcast sessions through her talk show ‘Talk the Talk’ with eminent personalities.
  She writes poetry and quotations about Life, Love and Nature and has a Facebook page ‘Reflections’ dedicated to it. She is also the lead vocalist & songwriter of the Gospel Band ‘Disciples of Christ’.
