Roshni is a self-directed, enthusiastic educator with a passionate commitment to student development and the learning experience. She is currently responsible for the delivery of Computing courses in IGCSE, IBDP and HSC at the Australian International School, Singapore. Roshni has worked as an educator for the last ten years and is a former IT professional with eight years of relevant experience in the IT industry. In the last decade, she has actively engaged in social causes especially related to children’s care and education as she believes that every child deserves a good quality of life. Roshni enjoys spending time with her family & friends and her other interests are reading, volunteering and travelling.

Harnessing ChatGPT in computer science lessons

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is here to stay, and the sooner we learn to leverage its potential, the better it is for us as educators to evolve, rethink and redesign the way we teach.
ChatGPT can be harnessed to help students learn coding and computational thinking skills.
Novice programmers of today will be the drivers of formidable technological advancement tomorrow, so it is crucial that there is adequate exposure to powerful AI tools such as ChatGPT within the classroom and to create a safe environment where young learners can openly discuss such powerful human creations so that understanding the ethical and unethical use of knowledge will occur through enculturation rather than formal training.
