Peter Tan is a security practitioner and educator with more than twenty years of experience advising government agencies, MNCs, and SMEs across the spectrum of security management. His work focuses on helping organisations move beyond manpower-centric security models towards technology-enabled, risk-driven, and intelligence-led operating environments. A recognised voice in Singapore's security landscape, Peter co-developed the country's first Specialist Diploma in Security Consultancy in partnership with the Ministry of Home Affairs. He is currently leading the development of a Specialist Diploma in Security Technology at Temasek Polytechnic-Security Industry Institute, equipping security professionals with the capabilities required to operate in an increasingly digital, data-driven, and AI-augmented environment. Peter serves as Community Vice President of ASIS International, supporting global professional development and member engagement. He regularly speaks at international and regional conferences on security management, security technology, and digital transformation. Peter has addressed security leaders and practitioners at major forums including ASIS APAC Singapore, ASIS GSX Las Vegas, Chicago, Orlando, New Orleans and Regional Southeast Asia (SEA) security conferences.
